Deleting your account
How to delete your Puzzle Vault account and the information attached to it.
Last updated: 18 August 2026
In short. You can delete your Puzzle Vault account yourself from inside the app, or email support@tryswiftpath.com and we will do it for you. Either way it is permanent.
Puzzle Vault is published by Scott Cameron, trading as SwiftPath.
1. How to delete your account
From inside the app
Open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. The account is deleted straight away and nothing else is needed.
By email
If you cannot open the app — you have changed device, or already uninstalled it — email support@tryswiftpath.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account.
Writing from the address on the account is how we confirm the request is really yours. If you write from a different address we will have to ask you some questions first, which slows it down.
You do not need to give a reason.
2. What is deleted
Everything tied to your account:
- Your email address and your password
- Your saved progress across every game — levels completed, stars earned, move counts
- Your in-app settings
We remove all of it from our live systems within 30 days of a verified request.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription and does not refund a purchase — both are held by Apple or Google rather than by us. Cancel a subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
3. What is kept, and for how long
A few things outlive the account:
- Backups — deleted information can persist in routine backups for up to 12 months, while they are overwritten on their ordinary cycle. It is not used for anything there except restoring the service after a failure.
- Analytics events — kept in aggregated or pseudonymised form for up to 25 months. They are not linked to your account and cannot be traced back to you.
- Crash reports — up to 12 months.
- Support emails — up to 36 months after the issue is closed, so we have a record of what was asked.
- Purchase records — held by Apple and Google rather than by us, under their own retention rules.
We may keep information for longer where we need it to resolve a dispute, enforce our agreements, or meet a legal or tax obligation.
4. How long it takes
Deleting from inside the app is immediate. An emailed request is actioned without undue delay and in any event within the period the law allows us — normally 30 days. Where a request is complex, or where you have made several, we may take the extension the law permits, and we will tell you within the initial period if we need it and why.
We confirm by email once it is done.
5. More detail
The Privacy Policy sets out everything we collect, who processes it, and the other rights you have — including access, correction and portability. For anything about your personal information rather than your account, write to privacy@tryswiftpath.com.
